We use a custom online installer, because it let's us unify the installation and the games' auto-update process.

Most of these are minor nuances, and won't change much. Some are just visual/stylistic changes. And some of them allow you disable or tweak features to match the previous THPS games. There is a short description for every option in the game menu. But I guess the lingo can be difficult to understand ...
