THPS HD - Community Project: Let's make the game GOOD!

...provided it's possible.

So as we all know, THPS HD is honestly pretty terrible. Graphics are amazing, however, which is one upside.
The THPS series was made to be arcade. I don't want to play a realistic game; that's no fun. I want to play an arcade game and I imagine so do you guys.

So here is my proposition:

1) Change the physics to an arcade, thug1/thug2 style physics.
2) Add revert (Code is probably already there)
3) Add online (code is probably already there)

Now I haven't researched it much, but obviously it will be much harder to mod then neversofts games, with qb and all. However, I think there still might be ways. We may not just be able to directly edit the code.
We could make mods by injecting c++ code via a proxy dll or something, and we likely could edit physics like that too (unless there's an easier way) - (Most unreal files are still there)

So what do you guys think?

I Agree. I believe not very hard, because we have a great advantage with this game: we have several tools to edit the Unreal Engine game. Perhaps the most difficult is to create a physically similar to THUG2 with the new language.

there is some revert on ramp but it terminate combo.

can repack .upk files but cant edit the files inside. didn't found in google anything

th2 had that as well - revert on ground, the only functionality was in changing stance. in thpshd it looks like revert indeed and you can do it when you land in a ramp. they prolly will have some minor change, that will interpret this revert as a trick. or smth like if dlc_map...

if there is online, it's for consoles and i doubt it is suitable for pc.

yet it's senseless imo.

You can manually export the 10 000+ uc files from THHDGame.upk with UE explorer, edit those in notepad, compile to .u and then group in .upk, have fun! :P

Who knows, they might add multiplayer in DLC for five bucks so that price is even with console versions. Shitstorm will break loose. :lol:
My converterted THUG2 PS2 parks to PC
Thanks to THPSX twitter account for converting. Contains tons of parks from Evil God, A couple from me (Beryllium, Belgian Prison), KSK Rooftops 2 and 3, Vex-Middle East, Verty Hollow from Mike, Ruin Cap etc...

I agree, although i don't have the game right now, but i'll get it soon, i dunno if my laptop could run it, maybe on minimum settings, we might be able to port some levels using the umodel tool as well as some SCN/TEX Converters, 3D Modeling and Photoshop Programs
