[STEAM] Extracting the Soundtrack (Lossless)

Postby Catarax » Sat Apr 30, 2016 6:36 pm

Steam Version with DLC

Go to :

Code: Select all

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD\DLC\DLC_1\Content\THHDGame\CookedPCConsole

Method 1 :
Get all .wem files, copy them to a new folder, rename the extension to .raw
Then, all the files are playable on foobar2000 (you can convert them also)

Method 2 :
Open .wem files in GoldWave (choose 16bit signed stereo) and convert them to the format of your choice
2 tracks plays slowly than the original (Bad Religion and a new one).

I just used Audacity and opened the .wem files using the "import raw" method.
It works that way too.

You can also import normally via Audacity with:

THAW PC music files
THUG2 PC music files
THUG1 PC music files
THPS4 PC music files
(THPS3 PC music files can literally be opened with something like Windows Media Player after renaming to .mp3)
THPS2 PC music files
Disney's Extreme Skate Adventure (Gamecube version) music files

on pc you just have to replace FE in the header with 01in hex editor and rename wem to wav.

Thaw pc files if found inside a pak have the type checksum of "unknown" for the pak entry, however, these are just plain .wav files with headers.
If pulling them from wad you need to apply the header to them and they'll play as plain .wav. the file information is in the sfx script.

Yep.
You have to extract the music_bik.wad file to get all of the .bik files.
I think cutscene sounds are in there too along with one unused song.

Isn't it standard format. First 4 bytes of the .dat are the number of items then each entry follows which are 12* bytes each
4 byte checksum
4 byte offset in the .wad
4 byte file size in the .wad
