Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2003

Does anyone know about Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2003? I'm not sure if this is supposed to be the Japanese version of THPS4 or THUG. The box art is similar to THPS4, but the GameFAQs page for THUG shows this in the images section. Regardless of which, it appears that this game was released in Japan about 6 months after THUG was released in Europe. So which ever it is, there could be some version differences.

I wonder if there are any regional differences.
There's a couple of auctions on Yahoo Japan and they're all no more than 300 yen (3USD).
But if you add the shipping costs the price snowballs pretty quickly

There's also a guy on EBay selling the game for $16 with free shipping. I guess you'd need a Japanese PS2 to play it though, since Datel never released a Freeloader disc for PS2.

One thing that caught my eye on the THPS4 Japan box art was that it says CAPCOM on it. I'm guessing that they ported and translated the game. It just feels weird to me that the same company behind Mega Man and Resident Evil would work on a game like THPS4.

why not, the company is rather huge, they probably signed contract with activision to localize the game and publish in japan. it's not like they were deep into it. btw someone should actually fix the mistake on gamefaqs...

Yeah it's not just one game, Capcom actually published a few Western games in Japan - most notably GTA games, Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy and God of War (which is pretty weird since you'd expect Sony Computer Entertainment to publish it).

Hey, I have a copy of this in-hand, haven't played it, but looked through the booklet and shit when I got it and it didn't appear to have anything extra, and it doesn't have Chicago according to the booklet. I never bothered with it aside from looking, but I could post an iso on tpb.

I would've already posted it, but like I said it appears to have less content, not more.

Chicago is included on the levelselect according to the levels.qb and gamemenu.qb file. The Capcom file mentions "encoded by TMPGEnc b10m5"

well, chicago was kinda 'secret' in thps4. why would they put that in a booklet.
those BAKs are qb sources though. were they in the wilds before?
