Re: a little question about thug pro and modding skaters
You can find custom skaters here:
https://thpsx.com/
Each one should include a readme in their files but I'll still leave a summary of how modding works.
Each custom skater should include two files, a model and a texture file. You can't straight up add a new skater to THUG PRO but you can replace the model of an existing skater with whichever model you downloaded. Be sure to backup the "Game/Data/Models/" folder before replacing any files just in case you need to revert (lol) anything.
The common trend I see among most of these custom skaters is that their files are named "Skater_Muska.skin"/"Skater_Muska.tex" and are intended to replace Chad Muska (Sorry Muska). But if you're loyal to Muska you can always just rename the files you download to the names of another Skater (Not Rodney Mullen though, you monster) to replace them. Keep in mind that some of the Skaters have specific animations that might play over your model in the Skater select screen. You can replace any of the Pro's but there's plenty of NPC and PED Skaters you can replace, it's just that the Pro's are easier to locate in the Skater select screen.
One thing to note: If you play online, unless your friends have downloaded the same mods and replaced the same skater you have the custom skater will only be visible to you. It's a client side thing.
I hope this helps!

Re: a little question about thug pro and modding skaters
Hey I've been having trouble modding some characters (Steamer, Campbell, Dasy, Private Carrera, & Price so far) & I'm not sure exactly what the issue is? I've modded others & they seem to work fine but these ones & maybe others I haven't tried yet just revert back to their default models & textures. It doesn't appear to be consistent with the folder type either as some of the ones that have been modded do overwrite others just not those specific ones.
Just curious if anyone else is having this problem & knows why it does this or if theres a fix for it? I've dummied my files too so that shouldn't be it.

Yeah, I just made an account because I was planning to ask about this. The THUG PRO launcher is validating all of it's files, which means you can't replace any of the characters the mod adds.purple7filth wrote: ↑Thu Apr 08, 2021 11:54 am Just curious if anyone else is having this problem & knows why it does this or if theres a fix for it? Does anyone know if there's a way to disable this file checking?
