Is it possible to use a PS4 controller on thug pro? If so, how?

First you need third party drivers, if not on mac.
Secondly, if those drivers do weird things then some controls might not work. For example on mac you don't need third party drivers but the dpad acts as buttons and that isn't how dpads work and the game wasn't coded for such a thing.

For starters we have no idea what OS you're on. Yes, applications act differently on different systems.
Also, I don't have a PS4 controller to be able to give you any meaningful advice on how to set it up.
